Prolong the Life of your LT!
ELP highly recommends each Laser Turntable be returned to the factory after 5 years of operation for maintenance and repair.

Even though the laser diodes have a life expectancy of greater than 10,000 hours (more than 20 times the life of the average diamond phono needle), and the turntable drive belt's life is better than 7 years, it is wise to keep your machine in top operating condition. The factory will also lubricate any moving parts, clean the optics, and recalibrate the system for "like new" performance.

Those who purchase the Laser Turntable are ELP customers for life. We are eager to meet the demands of our customers, and feel it necessary to provide the highest quality maintenance and repair services. The hand-made components that make up the Laser Turntable require the greatest care, and ELP believes that hands-on repair by the maker of the turntable is the best way to insure the longevity of the device. ELP is so confident of the reliability and durability of the Laser Turntable that we make the following promise to you, the customer:

ELP America is the go-between for US and Canadian LT owners and ELP Japan. In case a repair required ELP America will assist you as outlined below:

1) Ship your LT to ELP America (ELPA) in San Rafael, California.
2) You will receive a backup machine from ELPA if required and available.
3) ELPA will send your LT to Japan for repairs.
4) Upon completion of the repairs, ELPA will your receive your LT from Japan and test it.
5) Upon receipt of your backup machine, ELPA will send you your repaired and test LT unit.

Warranty:
Two (2) years, full coverage for all parts and labor. During the initial 2 years of ownership, the cost of the repair process is free. After 2 years, you pay both the delivery cost to and from ELPA ($250 each way) and the repair cost at ELP Japan ($500 or less).

Repair Agreement for All Other Customers

  • During the first two years of ownership
    If your LT needs repairs, return it to ELP. As soon as ELP completes the repairs, we will ship the unit back to you. This is a FREE service for you during the first two years. Even the cost of shipping to and from Japan is covered.

  • After the two year warranty expires...
    After the first two years, you will be required to pay the shipping cost to and from Japan, as well as the repair itself (repair costs approx. $200-300).

    Annual Service Contract

    The Annual Service Contract is designed to give our customers peace of mind. The Contract covers all repair costs, as well as shipping expenses to and from Japan. Laser Turntable owners who agree to the contract will not need to pay any additional expenses if the need for repairs does arise.

  • The shipping cost to and from Japan is FREE
  • The repair cost at ELP is FREE
    *- half of the amount will be credited to the following year if you do not exercise your rights
    Note: the Service Contract does not cover LTs which are damaged in "abnormal" situations.

    2) Without the Annual Service Contract:

    In the first two years after your purchase, repairs are free, and ELP pays all of these costs, excluding shipping. After the first two years, you must pay the airfreight cost to Japan (approximately $500 from the US to Japan via UPS) and the ELP repair cost (around $300).

    Please Note:

    • Shipping to locations outside of North America requires higher airfreight costs
    • Payments may be made by cash or credit card
    • With a Service Contract, you have no concerns about added expenses should repairs become necessary after normal use (this contract may not cover expenses due to owner misuse or abuse).
    • An Overhaul Cost (approximately $500, plus airfreight cost) is charged separately. An overhaul may be required every 5-7 years.
